Staff,
Summer is off to a great start here at Scofield. I certainly hope you are enjoying
the warmest year so far on record. This is my second official week and it almost
feels like I never left. I admit that I even peeked in my old classroom. Cynthia
and Deborah have been very helpful in the transition. A special thanks also
goes to Mike, Donald and the entire custodial crew for their hard work around
the building. Most people in education do not realize the behind the scenes
work the secretarial and custodial staff does to keep the ship afloat throughout
the year.
In case you have not heard the good news, Scofield veteran Donna Gardner will
be returning as an assistant principal. Donna and I worked together previously
and we are both excited to move Scofield forward together. Over the last week
various staff members have stopped in to wish us well. If you are in the neighborhood,
please do not hesitate to drop by. Given the amount of work being done around
the building, you probably will not have access to classrooms or other work
areas. If there is an urgent need for you to access a classroom or related work
area, please just let me know and I can try to make the necessary accommodations.
